About the “Person search” Result Page

The following is an explanation of the person search results page.

A. View Search Results / Move between Pages

• Displays the number of records that matching the input keyword(s).
• Navigate search results displayed on multiple pages (next page, previous page, first page, final page).
• Displays the search conditions input on the previous page for confirmation purposes.

• Search conditions: search field (keyword) (multiple keywords)
• Example: search conditions:Simple Search(Free Word:Takeda)
• Example: search conditions:Advanced Search(Person:Takeda)　affiliated institution:(National Institute of Informatics)

B. Change Order of Search Results

Displays the current search results in a different order.
Note that this only changes the order of the current display. It is not for specifying the display order for a refined search.

• Relevance……………………………… Sort in descending order of relevance
• Person Name(Katakana, asc.)…Sorts by person name in ascending order of character code.
• Person Name(Katakana, dsc.)…Sorts by person name in descending order of character code.
• # of Product(dsc.)……………………Sorts by number of product in descending order.
• # of Project(asc.) ……………………Sorts by number of product in ascending order.
• # of Project(dsc.) ……………………Sorts by number of project in descending order.
• # of Project(asc.) ……………………Sorts by number of project in ascending order.

C-4 Highlight Search Keywords

In CiNii Research, the search terms in the result screen are highlighted in bold and yellow background colour to make it easier to see where the search result is located.

D Jump to different search method

Clicking on the tab of「All」「Data」「Articles」「Books」「Dissertations」「Project」can change a search method. In this case, the keywords entered in the search box will be carried over.

Clicking on the logo "CiNii"will take you back to the CiNii Research top page.

E. Refine Search Results by Facets
