It seems that the information on Co-Investigators (Kenkyū-buntansha) is missing.

This database is created using the electronic version of KAKEN data, including the information at the time of Adopted Projects application (i.e. Adopted Projects data), information at the time of grant application, and the reports (e.g. Research-status Report, Annual Research Report, and Final Research Report).
Among these, Adopted Projects Data does not include the information on Co-Investigators (Kenkyū-buntansha) etc.

The information at the time of grant application was not included until 2015. Therefore, the information on Co-Investigators (Kenkyū-buntansha) used to be displayed only after the reports (e.g. Research-status Report, Annual Research Report, and Final Research Report) were digitised and added to the KAKEN database. In addition, the information on Co-Investigators (Renkei-kenkyūsha) and Research Collaborators (Kenkyū-Kyōryokusha) are displayed after the Final Research Report is digitised and added to the KAKEN database.
Some reports have a restriction on the number of Co-Investigators (Kenkyū-buntansha) that can be listed in the form, and thus not all the researchers are listed in the reports.

Co-Investigators (Kenkyū-buntansha) will not be registered in the KAKEN database unless they are listed in a report, regardless of the fact that they may have been involved in the project.
